Why actuators need dedicated grease

Actuators (e.g. automotive dampers, smart valves, automatic doors, drone servos) typically contain metal gears, plastic gears, rubber seals and electronic contacts at the same time. Ordinary bearing grease only addresses metal friction and will cause problems in actuators.

  1. Material compatibility: no swelling or cracking of POM, nylon, rubber seals;
  2. Low-temperature torque: the actuator still moves smoothly in the cold;
  3. Noise and vibration reduction: low gear-meshing noise;
  4. Electronic safety: no corrosion of copper/silver contacts, stable insulation.

Conclusion

For actuator grease, material compatibility is the first priority, then noise reduction and low-temperature performance, and EP anti-wear last. Do not substitute ordinary bearing grease, or plastic parts and contacts may be damaged.
