Fully synthetic base oil with urea thickener; dropping point 165°C, service up to 150°C for large cooling-fan sleeve and ball bearings.
Cooling fans run at high speed in small housings close to circuit boards. A grease with high volatility can release oil mist that contaminates nearby components and dries out quickly, shortening bearing life. A fine, clean thickener also keeps running noise low. Fan greases therefore use low-volatility synthetic base oils and refined thickeners, and are factory-tested for noise and evaporation.
Miniature and thin-wall fan bearings usually need a soft NLGI 1 or NLGI 0 grease to reduce starting torque and cold-temperature drag. Larger clearance or heavier-load fan bearings can use NLGI 2. Final selection depends on bearing clearance, speed and temperature — provide operating parameters for engineering support.
